War on Terror: You was supposed to bring Balance to the Force…not destroy it! 2012
Description

This is Photograph of Sculpture “War on Terror: You was supposed to bring Balance to the Force…not destroy it! 2012” for Sale as Limited Edition Print 1 of 25, price as shown.

This was inspired by the events of the collapse of the World Trade Center, New York after 9/11 and is a narrative journey inspired by the real life account of events of a friend whom used to work at the World Trade Centre, and with her story of Escape by the Brooklyn Bridge. Simple Four letter words taken from poetry written by Heroes on the front line with contrasting perceived Villains have been superimposed onto a Playable ‘Jenga’ Sculpture.

The Four Letter Words have been wrapped around the blocks to hide and reveal to engage the viewer to decipher the code and solve the puzzle. The Sculpture is made up of a standard four, eight or twelve unit square block sprayed painted with Primary Colours of either Yellow, Red or Blue superimposed with hand-painted text.

The varies size blocks have been Balanced with Gravity (Gravity is a Force) on one another from a natural equilibrium between Good (Heroes) and Evil (Villains). The tittle of ‘You was supposed to Bring Balance to the Force not Destroy It!’ has been taken from a quote of the Star Wars film in which Anakin Skywalker turns from the Good to Evil side to Darth Vader!
