CALLING ALL PORTRAITURE & FIGURATIVE ARTISTS

FOR THe RETURN OF OUR FIRST THURSDAY EXHIBITIONS

please read before you apply

submission Deadline - 01/02/26 8PM

Private view - 05/03/26 6-9pm

On March 5th, we return IRL at Laundry Studios in Hackney, London, for a new chapter of our long-running event series, bringing artists, creatives and culture-shapers together once again in a shared space.

Continuing our much loved celebration of International Women’s Month and after years where connection has been filtered through screens, this relaunch is a reminder of what happens when we actually show up for one another.

The exhibition theme, FACE 2 FACE, puts human connection front and centre. We are looking for powerful portraiture and figurative works that explore identity, intimacy and vulnerability.

Artworks that demand eye contact and real emotional exchange.

In a digital world built on distance and distraction, FACE 2 FACE is about returning to the real: conversations with strangers that become friends, ideas exchanged, and moments that can only exist when people are in the same room.

We are looking for artists for this exhibition and to celebrate the return of our First Thursday showcases in style.

Location - 2 Warburton Rd, London E8 3RT
