Artpce was established in 2020 by Halimah Smith, a self-taught visual artist, and illustrator based in Philadelphia, PA. The primary mission of Artpce is and always will be to uplift and celebrate Black people and black culture. Many of her pieces highlight black joy, self-care, and social justice issues and uplift and support black-owned businesses. Through Artpce, Halimah has had the opportunity to donate funds to organizations such as the After School Allstars to help expand the learning day for low-income children, and she has created art for large companies such as Misguided UK, DirectTV, When We All Vote, and more! Artpce has been featured by many influential pages such as Revolt TV, Refinery29, the NAACP, and most recently Benefit Cosmetics.
